About Gallery 8

Gallery 8 is the "historic" name under which Lewis promotes his work. Lewis started enamelling over forty years ago but has only been selling work on a commercial basis for the last ten years. In 2005 he opened his own gallery, Gallery 8 in Aberdour, where he produced and sold his own pieces as well as selling the work of other artists.  In 2007 Lewis started to promote his work to other galleries through trade fairs including BCTF in Harrogate.  The demand for his work was such that at the beginning of 2009 Lewis closed Gallery 8 in order to concentrate on supplying other galleries.

Enamelling workshops and demonstrations

Demonstrations or half day workshops can be arranged for those who would like to try their hand at enamelling.  A charge is normally made for this but the prices are kept low and most people leave with at least one piece that they have created themselves.

Commissions

Lewis is happy to accept commissions.  Past commissions have ranged from small jewellery items through to large three dimensional wall hangings and outside pieces designed for specific locations.

Although there is normally a non-refundable commissioning fee, a fraction of the final price, there is no further obligation for the customer to take the finished work if they are not completely happy with it … to date, this has never happened!
